Visiting an Italian restaurant could be rather
expensive, especially if one is very fond of Italian cuisine. In
that case one might as well learn and prepare some Italian pasta
recipes. These are rather easy and not too time consuming as
long as one has all the ingredients put together.
One can also control the number of calories used by the these
recipes by using diet alternatives of cream and cheese, as well
as toss in more vegetables. |
Macaroni and cheese sauce
½ cup of whole wheat flour
½ cup of yeast flakes
Salt to taste
One finely chopped onion
Finely chopped garlic
¼ teaspoon paprika powder
2 cups of skimmed milk
2 tablespoons of olive oil
½ teaspoon of mustard
Grated cooking cheese (mozzarella)
Macaroni
Boil the macaroni separately and drain out all the water. Keep it aside.
Then combine the flour, yeast, salt, onion, garlic, paprika and mustard
in a saucepan and toast it for a few minutes. Then as you keep stirring
pour in the skimmed milk and the olive oil.
Cook over medium heat, continuing to stir the mixture. Then add the
grated cheese and stir as it blends into the mixture. Once this is ready
pour it over the macaroni and it is ready to serve. s
You can garnish this with finely chopped olives..
