There used to be a general myth that there is
not much choice for the health conscious. But this is not true.
There is a lot more to select from, and that to some really
delicious, mouth watering recipes do exist. Even fruits can be
served in various combinations and variations in the form of the
various fruit salad recipes. In fact, experimenting with fruits
help in feeding children who otherwise avoid this food, which is
essential for their well being. . |
Fruit salad can be had as a dessert, or then as a
mid-meal snack.
Sugar free fruit salad
3 large apples, diced without peeling
4 diced bananas
1 diced peach
1 diced pear
8-10 green grapes
1 can of natural fruit cocktail (no sugar added option. You can also opt
for a tetra pack of mixed fruit juice)
1 can crushed pineapple
A packet of jelly – flavor of one’s choice
Mix all the ingredients together. Separately prepare the jelly. When it
is almost set put in the fruit mixture and let it set further. Serve
when cool.
Note: Instead of using sugar in the jelly, use sugar free alternatives.
