carrot salad recipes

 

Carrots are not only good for eye-sight, but is good for the overall health of an individual. People usually consume carrots in the form of juice or then as one of the add on vegetables for salads.

However, not too many use carrots as the main salad ingredient. This vegetable can be used creatively in making a side dish that can be served along with the main course. Or maybe one of the carrot salad recipes can be prepared and served as a mid meal snack or appetizer..

Grated carrot salad
 
- 3 cups of grated carrots
- ¼ cup of raisins
- 1 large cored and chopped apple
- 5 tablespoons of vegetarian diet mayonnaise
- Salt to taste
- Pepper
- Pinch of sugar
 
Mix all the ingredients in a salad bowl. Keep it in the refrigerator for about ten minutes. Serve chilled.
